Alessandro Ricciarelli was born in Milan, Italy, and grew up in Bavaria, Germany. He came to the US to study Jazz Guitar at Berklee College of Music and has been living in New York City since 1997. He has a Masters in Music Therapy from NYU and a Masters of Fine Arts from Columbia University.

Alessandro works at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan, where he is a staff music therapist in the pediatric unit. He sometimes writes and produces music for the films of his brother Giulio, and plays the guitar in the Jazz Mass on Sundays at 6 PM in the Ascension Church on W 107th and Broadway in Manhattan. He plays a wide range of styles, Bossa Nova, Jazz, Classical, RnB, and Pop, and sings in English, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese.
